Gallery Nine’s Summer Exhibition,5 July- 31 August

Ceramicist Anna Lambert has developed her hand-built forms to reflect a connection with the fragile and constantly changing environment, using various techniques including altering clay slabs, modelling and painting with slips and under-glazes. Merlyn Chesterman returns to gallery Nine with her woodcuts of seascapes. Hilary Paynter is widely recognised as one of today’s leading wood engravers and is renowned for the contemporary themes she brings to this traditional medium. Jeweller Suzanne Claire handcrafts beautiful and tactile French knitted, crocheted, embroidered and woven jewellery. Zsuzsi Morrison’s jewellery could be described as modern-day talismans or amulets, each piece an individual work of art.
