Bath College partners with Bath Cougars Netball Club for Sport Academy

Bath College announces a new addition to its Sport Academy with Bath Cougars Netball Club, beginning in January 2026. Adding netball to the Bath College Sport Academy will provide 16-19-year-old students with clear pathways into semi-professional and professional netball without compromising education.

Students will train in elite facilities and gain access to professional netball coaching while receiving strength and conditioning tailored to the sport. Members of the academy will also receive structured timetables with dedicated training sessions to help them develop as netball athletes and confident young adults.

James Moon, a Lead Coach at Bath College, said, “We are committed to creating high-quality coaching opportunities with strong educational support. Working alongside the Bath Cougars allows us to provide an environment where student-athletes can develop both on and off the court.

Together, we aim to deliver a programme that challenges players, supports their growth, and opens pathways for future success. We look forward to building a strong relationship with Bath Cougars and seeing the positive impact this partnership will have on our students and the wider sporting community.”

Emma Isaac, Chair of Bath Cougars, added, “Bath Cougars Netball Club are thrilled to begin this exciting new partnership with Bath College. We are extremely proud to be recognised alongside other clubs that have successfully partnered with the college and are excited about what the future holds.

Our commitment is to combine resources to deliver high-quality coaching and create an environment that supports and challenges players. We will strive to provide opportunities for students and athletes across the programme, ensuring they can develop both on and off the court.”
