Bath bar’s 24-hour darts marathon raises over £2,000 for charity

One of Bath’s top bars has hit the bullseye for charity, with The Hideout raising more than £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support after completing a 24-hour darts marathon.

General Manager George Reed, and mixologists Daniel Tanner and Sam Burge – played non-stop for a full day and night. The event took place at the Three Horseshoes in Bradford on Avon, which hosted the match. The team promoted the fundraiser through their Instagram (@hideout_bath), attracting donations from across the industry, both locally and further afield.

The money raised has gone to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping the charity provide essential medical, emotional, and financial support to people living with cancer.

Speaking after the event, The Hideout’s manager George Reed said: “We’re absolutely knackered, but it was worth every minute. The support was unreal, and we’re so glad we did it – 24 hours is no joke! Huge thanks to everyone who got involved, donated, or just came down for a pint and a bit of banter. Big shoutout as well to the Three Horseshoes in Bradford on Avon for hosting the match as well.”

Just steps away from Bath Abbey, The Hideout is known as one of Britain’s best cocktail bars, ranked in the top 25 in the UK according to Top 50 UK Cocktail Bars. Famous for its hip-hop theme and whisky collection (of over 300 bottles), alongside a menu of classic and signature cocktails.
