There is a stillness that lives beneath the noise of an ordinary life. House of Sgra is a private sanctuary for sound healing, set within the estate of Southernwood Castle, a short distance from Bath, and held for those ready to return to themselves.
Sgra is the Tibetan word for sound, pronounced ‘dra’, and it is the note on which everything here is built. House of Sgra’s practice is rooted in the ancient voice of Tibetan and Himalayan singing bowls.
Each session is private: one room, one hour, one person. There is nothing to keep pace with, only the resonance moving through the body, loosening the shoulders long before it reaches the mind. However you arrive, you are met as you are.
More than just a wellness experience, House of Sgra is a practice and a relationship. For those who choose to stay, it becomes a sense of belonging that grows with every season. What settles in the room travels home with you and quietly stays.

Begin with a taster
Every membership starts with a taster session, so that you and House of Sgra can be sure it is the right fit. The First Light Taster is a gentle introduction to the practice and the space, with nothing asked of you but an open mind. Visiting Bath? The Voyager’s Reset offers travellers a restorative pause in the middle of a busy itinerary.
Should you wish to continue, membership follows in two tiers, First Light and The Sanctuary.
If this feels like the place you have been looking for, House of Sgra would love to hear from you. Come as you are. Leave lighter.
