Lucis Choir presents: Vierne Messe Solennelle

Bath’s Lucis Choir joins forces with acclaimed professional vocal ensemble the Jervaulx Singers for an evening celebrating the rich tradition of French sacred choral and organ music.

At its heart is Louis Vierne’s magnificent Messe Solennelle, combining powerful choral writing with the grandeur of the French symphonic organ tradition. The programme travels through works by Vierne’s contemporaries and successors, including Widor, Dupré and Duruflé, alongside the timeless sound of Gregorian chant and an organ solo from Vierne’s 24 Pièces en style libre.

Based in North Yorkshire, the Jervaulx Singers perform regularly at festivals and concert venues across the UK and are known for their expressive performances and imaginative programming.
