Renowned chefs Rick Stein and Tom Kerridge will be creating delicious menus for visitors at a new culinary cinema experience coming to Bath in December.

Guests can get cosy in a large movie theatre marquee, take their seats on the comfy red sofas and enjoy some of their favourite classic Christmas films while they are served a set menu of sumptuous dishes crafted by Rick Stein and Tom Kerridge.

There will be approximately 20 films on offer throughout the pop-up, and the programme will include Christmas classics such as Love Actually, It’s a Wonderful Life and Elf, as well as other much-loved films including Casablanca and Finding Nemo.

The Gourmet Picture Company’s Classic Christmas in Bath follows the sell-out success of summer events held at Cliveden House in Buckinghamshire and Chewton Glen hotel in Hampshire and throughout Christmas 2016 within the Old Town Hall building in Marlow, Bucks.

The Gourmet Picture Company will be bringing this cinema pop-up to Royal Victoria Park, Bath from Thursday 14 – Sunday 24 December, and Wednesday 27 December – Sunday 7 January 2018.

Rick Stein has created a menu featuring a twist on a prawn cocktail, followed by a fish curry influenced by his cookbook on India, or a Sri Lankan vegetarian cashew curry. The meal will finish with ice cream made by Tom Kerridge’s team at the two Michelin starred Hand and Flowers. This menu will be available with films being shown from Thursday 14 – Sunday 24 December.

For the second half of the pop-up, Tom Kerridge will be serving his take on some pub classics including a caesar salad, pulled pork macaroni cheese and lasagne, as well as his delicate ice cream. Tom’s menu will be on offer from Wednesday 27 December – Sunday 7 January 2018. The menus are subject to change.

Pre-sale tickets will be available from Wednesday 22 November, and tickets will go on general sale on Thursday 23 November.

What better way to get in the festive mood by enjoying a classic Christmas film on the big screen with friends while eating dishes made by two of the country’s best chefs? We can’t think of anything better!

The film programme will be released next week.
