Pumpkin craziness at Oldfield School

The Ghoul, The Bad and The Ugly!

In the face of adversity, this having been a most unusual year for traditions, Oldfield School’s annual pumpkin carving competition was a ghoulish success again!  Our theme this year was The Ghoul, The Bad and the Ugly.  Interesting designs included a couple of “covid” related pumpkins.

Winning design was by a Year 7 student, Theo Young, and Miss Sackett won the staff contest.

Mr Pearce, art teacher said “I am overwhelmed by the response to this year’s competition, nearly 100 pumpkins graced our canteen area.  Many thanks to Newton St Loe Farm who donated hay bales to display the amazing creations on. Well done to all the students and staff for keeping up the tradition.”
