Students from Millfield School are celebrating results for A Level, Pre-U and BTEC exams.
Across all 38 courses, pupils achieved a 99% pass rate with 30% receiving A* to A grades or equivalent, and 47 pupils securing three or more A grades, or equivalent UCAS points in their top three subjects.
In BTEC, 78% of results were Distinction or above, equivalent to an A grade at A Level. BTEC Business achieved 82% Distinction or above, BTEC Sport saw 76% Distinction or above and BTEC Art & Design secured 73% Distinction or above. BTEC Sport in particular saw 47% of entrants achieving the highest grade possible, equivalent to 2 A*s at A level.
Amygrace Berger from Bath is off to St Hilda’s College, University of Oxford to read Chemistry after achieving A*s in Chemistry and Mathematics, A in Physics and a D in Further Mathematics.
Bath local and former Head Boy, Charlie Howard, achieved two A*s in English Literature and Physical Education and an A in Drama and Theatre Studies. A talented actor and rugby player, Charlie is a member of the National Youth Theatre and was captain of the 1st XV rugby team. He will join the University of Exeter in the autumn to study Drama.
