The Bath Royal Literature & Scientific Institution is holding The Birth of Frankenstein event. On 27 February beginning at 7:30pm, Professor Sir Christopher Frayling is a historian, writer and award-winner broadcaster who has published over twenty books on the arts.
Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein began life as a short story at a holiday villa overlooking Lake Geneva, on 17 June 1816. The story was developed into a full-length novel in Bath that same autumn, and published on New Year’s Day 1818. This illustrated lecture will revisit the birth of Frankenstein, in the light of the latest research.
