Daisy Barrow, year 10 at the Royal High School Bath has been selected for the U15 Girls Foil Fencing team that will compete in Wratislavia, Poland in March.

Daisy has been working very hard over the last four years to achieve this target and is utterly delighted to achieve her goal of representing her country. A student at the Royal High School Bath situated on Lansdown Road, Daisy is currently studying for her GCSEs and juggling an intensive training programme alongside her academic studies.

Daisy’s recent achievement in the Club championships at the thriving Bath Sword Club saw her achieve second place as the youngest fencer in the competition. Daisy will now fence for the South-West in an U18 National competition at Cadet Winton, in a few weeks which will be excellent further preparation for Poland.

Director of Sport Miss Natalie Hannah said “we encourage all of the girls at the Royal High School to pursue their passion for sport and Daisy is a dedicated athlete who is thoroughly deserved of this selection. We look forward to supporting Daisy; she is a role model to our younger students.”
