Fund-raising and charity work lies at the heart of All Hallows Prep School’s ethos.
All Hallows’ children have been working extremely hard fund-raising for their link school in Kenya. As a result of lots of small fundraising efforts, such as selling bacon butties at Sports Day, craft fairs and Young Enterprise projects, pupils and staff have raised £7,820. Charity Co-Ordinator Liz Green said “Thanks to the huge efforts and creative fund-raising ideas by all our children, this money is going to make a huge difference to our friends in Kenya.”
On behalf of Sang’a school Alexandra Ames Kornman, Director of Development for Lewa Education wrote “Through your generous grant from All Hallows School, you have helped to improve the quality of life for both people and animals throughout northern Kenya. On behalf of Lewa Wildlife Conservancy UK, thank you for your recent gift of £7,820 for new bathrooms at the Sang’a School, under the umbrella of the Lewa Education. Your donation is improving the quality of life, and quality of education, for the students at Sang’a – a remote school that struggles with connectivity and insufficient government support. By improving the sanitation, you are also improving children’s appreciation for their school, and helping them to stay happy and healthy as they pursue their education.”
Supporting Sang’a is one of the many charities that All Hallows supports through fund-raising and awareness.
