Staff at Bath law firm Mowbray Woodwards have raised £3,200 for Mentoring Plus – a local charity which supports young people aged seven – 21 struggling with education, family, poverty or isolation.

The staff raised funds through a variety of activities including a bake-off style cake sale, dress-down days and raffling a day off work. Some of the team also ran the Bath Half Marathon, raising individual sponsorship which was generously matched by the firm’s Partners.

Mowbray Woodwards managing partner Tracey Smith is delighted with the result. She said: “We have all been so inspired by the work of Mentoring Plus. Fundraising for such a fantastic cause has really brought our team together and we have all worked hard to raise money in different ways.”

Jamie Luck, director of Mentoring Plus, said: “This is a really inspirational amount raised and we’re thrilled to learn that the staff from Mowbray Woodwards found supporting Mentoring Plus such a positive experience. This will make such a difference to us as it covers the cost of training and supporting two mentor/mentee pairs for an entire year.”

Mowbray Woodwards was introduced to the work of Mentoring Plus at an event hosted by the Bath Percent Club.
