Historian and chief curator of Historic Royal Palaces Lucy Worsley visited Prior Park College last week to give a talk about the Victorians to the students and staff.

Lucy also spoke about her new children’s book, My Name Is Victoria, which focuses on Queen Victoria’s childhood, and treated the students by reading extracts.

Lucy revealed amusing and informative stories about King George III and his children, and even got some of the students to take part in an interactive timeline of the period, where she summarised each monarch’s personalities and qualities and used props.

Lucy finished the session with a Q&A and a book signing.
